Kimono Style Dress

Combining comfort and style, kimono style dresses bring elegance and class to any outing. From more formal settings like outdoor garden weddings and graduations, to casual luncheons with friends or just a stroll through a neighborhood bookstore, this type of dress provides the ultimate in multitasking style.
Also, kimono style dresses are not likely to go out of style for those who prefer timeless, classic pieces. However, because some dresses are designed poorly. Here are four structural elements to look for in a kimono style dress. Dresses with these four elements are universally flattering for women of every shape and size.
1. V-neckline
According to the book, The Science of Sexy, the V-neckline is the most flattering neckline for all women. It creates the illusion of a longer neck, highlights the face, and also makes the waist appear smaller.
2. 3/4th sleeves
Of all the sleeve lengths, 3/4th sleeves are also the most universally flattering length. Long sleeves tend to give the appearance of a boxy upper half, while those with large upper arms may feel uncomfortable in short sleeves, cap sleeves and sleeveless tops. Look for kimono style dress with 3/4th sleeves.
3. A-line skirt
The A-line skirt is also the most universally flattering skirt cut because it curves out where a woman's body naturally curves out.
4. Below the knee length
Some dresses that hit above the knee may seem too juvenile, while dresses that hit the floor too mature. The most flattering length for a woman of any age and size falls right below the knee. This length is also the most comfortable length in terms of wearability. It is modest but not dowdy.
